Show off your Peas!

Okay, if the Bronze split Pied WE hen were his mother, he would have to be Bronze as both parents were Bronze correct? So do you think he looks at all like a Bronze or do you think he is just split to Bronze? If he is just a IBBS split Bronze I would like to sell him, but if he is a Bronze BS I would like to grow him out and see how he looks when mature. By the way, I agree that he is a male, doesn't look at all like a hen to me anymore. And those white feathers on the wing are pretty white and some look white tipped.

If both parents were bronze he should be bronze of course, i just looked at some india blue bs chicks pictures on the web and i start to think yours isn't india blue bs, i think he is bronze bs.

I guess I better hold on to him then. I am really thinking he isn't IBBS as well, but I also wondered if I wasn't just "Wishful Thinking" there. I've raised a lot of IBBS's as I've had those for 20 years now, and the differences are subtle, but they are there. It would be nice if he turned out to be Bronze BS split to pied and WE.

I will have to get rid of at least 1 male though, as I now have 3 in my Bronze group, one is a regular Bronze, and one is a spalding split to Bronze and BS, and now this guy.

Bronze black shoulder pied w/e one of the rarest colors, but i don't think this guy will be split to pied since only his mother is split to pied. Fingers crossed

I am not very familiar with WE, would a split to WE be enough to cause those patches of white on the wings?

Any bird that is carrying white eye gene could have these white patches.

Okay, good enough, you are probably correct that he isn't going to be split pied, the odds are against it. I am going to have to take some pics of all 4 of the chicks from snowshoe's eggs, one of the hens has a couple white feathers as well, and the barred wing bronze male appears to have white tips on a couple wing feathers, There is only 1 (a hen) who is showing NO white feathers at all.
