I have thought of adding a run on the other side of coop for the pheasant/peafowl.

This would be the best way to go because you well most likely end up with wee peas and you will need more roomI have thought of adding a run on the other side of coop for the pheasant/peafowl.

Oh Cool! I have not thought of the nipple watering system for peafowl maybe I will try?I keep a pair of peafowl with my ducks. I have a pair of call ducks and a pair of mandarins. I have sand and gravel around my pond and the pen stays dry and clean. BUT the ducks do make a mess in the peas water so I have to change it often. I did put a water pan up on a log where the peas could reach it but the call ducks couldn't.....but the Mandarins fly up there. Now I'm making an automatic nipple/cup waterer. The ducks won't be able to reach it and water will stay clean for my peas.
I have places for the ducks to hide. Everyone gets along most of the time, but this breeding season the peas chased the ducks bad!
I am raising the two Peachicks I hatched inside. I worried about them drowning in the pond as babies, so took the eggs from mom before hatch.
Sounds like a good idea but the peas will still drink from the dirty water the only way to stop that is to not have it where they are.just sayen.I keep a pair of peafowl with my ducks. I dont think this many animals in my pen will lead to illness? And overcrowding leads to sickness.![]()
