can anyone please tell me what kinds these are...I can get a great deal on all five I just want to know what they are .. here are the pics

the two birds up to anyone have an idea what they could be Not feeling well?

same birds...what thinking to bs hens....but not sure



any thoughts....would be greatly appreciated...I was told that they are pied and not related....could they be bs pied hens.....?

I'm worried about those two "buddy" birds... they look like they may not be healthy. Does anyone else see what I think I'm seeing here?

What are you seeing? They look alert and not hunched over in the photos. Sick birds will be really hunched over. The pen looks messy though.

I would put them in quarantine though if you get them birdman55. I don't notice anything wrong with them, but you never know if they have never been wormed especially since they are young.

I don't know their parentage at all. As for the male/, that is as close as he will let me get, he still associates me with putting that nasty Sevin dust on him. Goofy bird.

I will see if I have any closer pics of my hens, they are 4 and 5 now and I have had them since youngsters so again don't know parentage. People just don't keep track it seems from small breeders around here.

Oh minx, thank you. I would absolutely love to have one like him again and he was such a sweet boy. I was standing outside when he hopped the fence and I asked my handyman to help me herd him back in, as we had only lived there a month. He told me he'd be be OK, and I didn't follow up against my intuition. I think he simply just couldn't, find his way back home. Still makes me heartbroken.

they were very active when mom went into the pens to take pics she took 25 pictures...and they were constantly moving around...not sure what anyone is seeing here....the white bird is a male and its four years old the ib hen is breeding age I believe three and has already sat and breed some and hatched some...the only birds I was wondering about came from a zoo and the guy bought them last year....2014 hatch...and he said they weren't related and they were pied...my question is what kind would they be...I think they are black shoulder pied hens personally I just wanted some more input on them....could they be sick...the guy that owns them just cant do it anymore....hes 80 and he brought them into his barn which is heated...im just concerned now that people say they might be sick...I am new at this so what signs of peafowl should I look for... and there is a male ib peacock 2014 split white that will go with them....do you think it would be a good choice...im in need of the ib peahen and that is basically the reason for me getting them so I can pair my ib male with a ib peahen...so I guess im open for thoughts and suggestions..at this point...im supposed to pick them up next weekend...

Birdman...I would go for it as long as you have room for quarantine. And be prepared to watch them closely for illness.

Not sure how well I can quantify it. I don't like how they are standing, I don't like how they are holding their wings, I don't like how they are carrying their tails. I don't like how they are holding their feathers. I don't like the somewhat bedraggled look. They look to me to be in a different condition and different state of health than the white male and the IB hen and that other BS bird. In the three photos I included, those two birds look kinda funky to me in every picture, so I think this may be something consistent, not just one goofy photo. And I totally agree that the enclosure doesn't look too hygenic. But the other three birds look ok.

I guess I would be trying to get a really close look at those two birds and check their poo and listen to them breathe and watch their behavior, because they just don't look right to me. But I don't know what everyone else sees...

I haven't seen them in person, but to me they look normal. If they are the ones from the zoo, it makes sense that they would look a little scruffy. Also, often young birds can look a little scruffy. They could be fluffed a bit if it is cold, and the one with the wing down doesn't have the wing down that far. I see my healthy adult peas hold their wing like that for a bit until they tuck it back. Young peas are growing so fast that sometimes they don't have enough muscle to constantly hold up those heavy new feathers. To me they look fine.

I personally would get the birds, worm them, and keep an eye on them.
