I was wondering the same thing![]()
Sadly though where we live there are no close Agriculture Vet programs. Rather I have to go to Eastern Idaho in Twin for College of Southern Idaho or I go North for University of Idaho in Moscow. I'm probably going with U of I since they have a great Vet program. I will never join a frat house. I would like to stay home but all the Ag colleges are to far to stay home and attend. I will probably live in the dorms and I hope I get a roommate that is in the Agriculture area. If not I hope he's not going to be one I hate. I get to go up to U of I though every year for FFA Competition in Livestock. It's pretty cool and they have their own dairy and sheep herd. They're trying to get a Poultry Science class and if so I know what class I will take. Also since I'm going into the Vet program I would be able to use the labs for research! I will let you know if I need help.If you get along with your parents well, this is a great option. Most of my friends save money by living at home and just commuting to college. Also, it seems like 98% of people who live in the dorms have a room mate that they don't like or even hate. I have never liked school though, so the thought of living at school is a horrible thought. I like being able to go to my classes, jump in my truck, stop by my Grandma's to feed the peafowl, then go home. I sooo do not live the college life.![]()
Don't join a frat. Just my opinion. Seems like they turn decent guys into jerks - not saying everyone in a frat is a jerk, but...![]()
Make good use of the free things the college has to offer. I don't really do this, but I still say take advantage of it. At my college you can rent Xboxes, computers, etc for free I think all you have to do is show them your school ID card. Also at my school you can rent canoes, boats, etc. You can go to the gym and climb the rock wall, do yoga, etc. The only things I utilize is the college pool, the sauna, and the art gallery - just had 3 things in a show.
If you need any help let me know. College is a lot easier than you think. Or at least mine is. I guess I can't speak for others. Go Argos!!!![]()
I'm hoping to go to University of Idaho since they have FFA and I'm certain I can get a scholarship since I have a high GPA and since I have my State Degree. State Degree is the highest FFA degree you can get while in High School. I'm going into the vet program. I'm thinking though of only doing 4 or 6 years. That way I can come home for a little bit try and get my own property and my own livestock and if I feel that I can go Vet then I will complete the last 4 or 2 years. Sadly though I won't be able to see my animals very often. Are you going to be able to live at home while you go to college?
