I don't think they would. It also depends on the hawk. Red tails will go for pheasant chicks, Cooper Hawks won't touch birds. Eagles will sometimes attack chicks. Adults won't be bothered I'm sure of it but chicks maybe.

My bs male disappear this morning ;(;( and the other 3 females and the male just keep looking up in the sky with there feathers fluff up and start hunking and just run to the house

Can someone please tell me if a hack or an eagle can get a full size peacock ?;(;(;(

I know someone who lost a full grown turkey to an Eagle. The turkey was a good bit bigger than a full grown Peacock, so I would assume a hungry Eagle might kill one, doubt if it could carry it away though. Hawks probably are not big enough to pose a threat.

Isn't this the same male you just recently got and turned lose within a few days?

Any sign of him? They will often show back up the morning after getting spooked. Mine will do the fluff and honk anytime anything strange is seen, helicopters, garbage trucks, loose cows, all have caused this behaviour before.

This is probably old, but I have to agree and disagree with this. Cooper's hawks might not go for adult birds, but I have a Cooper's Hawk that roosts/lives in my yard (he claims at least part of it as his territory very loudly every morning and evening, anyway), and though he's never made a pass at my adults, he's come down a few times for young turkey chicks (we don't let the chicks out anymore). I'm pretty okay with that, though, since he 100% chases all the other daylight birds of prey out of his territory, including a huge red tail last summer that was eyeballing my chickens.

Just a quick shot of Blu showing off today when I let them all out of the coop.

And yes, there are a lot of clipped feathers. We clip most of his train because he only has one working leg. He uses the bad one to stabilize himself, but since he can't walk or maneuver as easily, we take most of the train weight and length off for him. I can't believe he'll be five years old this summer!

Totally agree with you about the coopers hawk my peas caught a coopers hawk that had a frizzle roo by the neck on the ground, had the peas not found the hawk and sounded the alarm the roo would have been killed, he walked funny and could not see straight for a few days and made a full recovery.
