Show off your Peas!

Here are some pictures of my Bronze BS pair. I got the hen from Taylor Hill Game Farm, and have high hopes for this breeding season!
Is that a common look for her? Seems she looks on the sickly side from the droopiness of her eyes. Love those colors though. I have a BS hen and looks very similar to this one. How do you tell if it's a Bronze BS? Or is it just by parentage that you can know?

I agree her crest looks spindly and her feathers look awful tattered right before breeding season she should be looking her best.
Do you know when she was wormed last?

They are all very beautiful birds congratulations can not wait to see what hatches from them

Thanks about the comments. I personally have a harder time identifying the different BS hens, but the one I have is of definite Br BS breeding, which has produced Br BS. Have to keep good records with them. She was wormed before coming here, and I got the pictures shortly after releasing her with the male. She was probably rough from transport since she does look nice. And yes she had her crest pecked off before coming here. I am have not paid close attention to her eyes. When you start working with some of the color mutations, especially the charcoals, I have noticed they have odder looking eyes.

ETA: I looked back at pictures I have of her when she was at Taylor Hill, and that is how her eyes always were.

Not arguing that point but doesn't mean she wasn't under the weather there too.

Even if she was wormed before I would again just to be sure. Both of them.

Just what I'd do.

Speaking of eyes... My IB hen..her eyes aren't droopy but..she's done this since she was just a babe and now 2 yrs but she constantly closes her eyes for what seems to be an extended blink. When I first got her it struck me as odd and worried me. Like her eyes are dry or something. Anyone else ever noticed?

That Br BS hen has looked like that (just with a crest) for the past year or two since I have seen her twice a year before actually owning her. But I will reworm her just to be safe.

I was able to give away my blind peafowl today!

Seabreeze, that hen looks like an India Blue to me. Nice peafowl.

.
what color is this hen?

I'm going to say Purple on the hen. The feathers on her back appear to have the tell tale fading you see in a Purple. She has a greener neck than my Purple hens, but I would imagine there can be a little variance in that from one to another.
