Show off your Peas!

Wow, that is a nice bird!

If this was for "Chemo"? Thanks!
He is a tall boy, that is my 2 yr. old Purple BS Pied "Handsome" and Chemo's a good bit taller than him, thinner as well. Handsome is a bit chunky, hubby says he's the heaviest one we have.

It was, sorry, I should have said @Dylansmom or quoted.

I was looking for a name of this chick, so far I have had two of them like this. They are both IBs and one has sold already so a name wasn't necessary after all.

I doubt that I will be able to produce a bird as beautiful as your Pied, he is awsome!

I hope your treatments are going well without too many down days, I know it is tough, but I bet you are tougher.

Our newest boy, a SP split Peach, has been released into the "general population" and is fitting in well. Haven't named him yet, but so far "Chemo" is topping the list.

He is a tall leggy yearling with a nice long neck. I'm really liking the way he is turning out.

I didn't produce him either, C. Hopkins did. I keep trying to picture the result of him x my spalding girl "Crawford", also very tall and leggy. All of Dany's posts about how domestication is making them short and squatty has really got me looking for a taller leaner bodied result from my birds.

My treatments are okay so far, thanks for asking. The first 6 day cycle of chemo is done and I've had 7 radiation sessions so far. No hair loss yet, or nausea, but I am tired a lot and I have a horrendous taste in my mouth that is making eating a bit of a chore. Worst thing is my cough though, it gets so bad I gag, and my throat is sore as _____! Other than that we are soldiering on. Sold my straight run chicks as fast as I could hatch them this year, held back 3 to grow out, hoping they are hens.

What do you think of Chemo x Crawford chicks, especially if a peach spalding hen happened to pop out?

What color is that chick Bill? It doesn't look dark enough for IB?

That chick came from eggs gathered from the IB pen, however, it could have rolled under the divider from the IBBS split Cameo over Cameo hens. I sold it as an IB...

The pairing of Chemo and Crawford will be really interesting, can't wait to see them! As to what they will produce, it will be like a box of chocolates.

I love having diverse genetics in my pens, it is so fun to find hidden genes. When I first started with peas I only wanted 'pure' birds. Little did I know, and now the only reason I have a pen of non-split IB's is to pay for the feed. My interest is now in the colored birds with flashes of white, the same ones I found so offensive when I started.

Very Nice! I would have taken him in a heart beat.
