Show off your Peas!

The barred wings are fading into a solid brown so im shooting more towards female and I'm hoping im wrong because I want my baby to be a male!

Been a while sense i have shared any photos , what a great season it has been i am ready for a break now.
The green peas are doing so good, they are starting to get their pretty colors and i can finely relax and enjoy them after worrying about them for weeks.
The greens are so tame now, i can walk among them and they just act like i am another pea in the brooder, i have opened up the big pens so they can forge on some things i planted in there and have been teaching them to herd, i feel comfortable in letting them out to range and will start a few in a week or two just to see how it goes but i think they are going to do fine sense they are no longer skittish, if it works out i will be working with them on ranging and teach them to go into the pen at night as they are already roosting in the big pen 6 foot off the ground.. I am very proud of them and how far they have come, just wish they would not try to eat my toes and freckles

This is a photo of the first night they tried to roost outside in the pen, i can out later to check on them and found them and their pea friends back in on the walk board, they chickened out that night

The greens are even use to the dogs now, they are learning how to use the ramp to go from brooder to pen and caught on within an hour this is one reason i feel at ease with free ranging them they are very smart.

My pups have taken up the role of the pea guardians with their big sister, i am so proud of them, you can see them sleeping in the background, they stay where ever the peas hang out now.

My pretty pied boy

I got myself a new color and bloodline for my Muscovy ducks, this guy came from a blue pied mom and chocolate dad, the little Jakes wanted to whip him.

Turkeys are such Territorial birds much worse than the peafowl, they alerted me to a snake a couple weeks ago and we took care of it, they made quite a fuss, i could not get photos of them as it was first thing in the AM when i had just stepped out to start my day and ran for the shovel not the camera till after it was dead, it was under my carport 6 inches from a hen sitting on peafowl eggs in a box, had it not been for the turkeys making a fuss i may have never seen it taking the eggs GO TURKEYS

This is Annie's little sister to the right, she would not let the turkeys near the snake when they were trying to check it out, what a great guardian dog she has become in such a short time.

I am still getting eggs, three more tonight. Thought I might show you what the hens are doing with them.
This is in the IB pen.

These are in the IB Black Shoulder x Cameo pen.

There are more eggs in the other box that no one is setting on yet.

The IBBSWE x IBWE pen has a nest ready to go, I think I have eight eggs in it now.

I didn't take a pic of the nest in the Pied pen..

The Purple BS pen has three hens setting, here are tow of them.

This old gal sat on three different clutches so I let her have a chick for doing such a good job.

I was too slow getting the camera out, this is just after doing the deed.

Love the pics. Glad someone is still in business!! ;)

My 2 yr old hen only laid 2 small clutches this year and only the second clutch had a couple fertile eggs. She hatched them but my male has dropped his train, it's pretty much all gone. Looks so strange.

My 2 white boys were a year in June and they have gotten so big.

Not the best pic

I'm thinking I will be looking to rehome one of them before next mating season. I'm lacking in the hen department!!!
