Show off your Peas!

PEACOCK HITS DAY OLD PEA CHICKS
My peahen just hatch two pea-chicks i keep away the male from them. After few hours i was trying to introduce the peacock to pea-chicks .but my peacock pick one chick in his mouth and throw it away , thanks GOD i was there i instantly separate the peacock. i have only pane half covered and half area is fenced by the net .I do not know what to do next , because the is the peak time of summer where temperature reached to 47 'C and some times 50'c . your valuable suggestion are required

@hazal it sounds like you need to try to divide your pen in half and separate them until the chicks are a bit bigger and can get away from the male if he gets aggressive with them.

Anyone else have peahens who aren't laying yet? My five (ish) year old White hen still isn't laying. She was stressed by the new male we brought in for a while but he's basically left her alone for a couple weeks now and been very pleasant toward her. She started laying early May last year.

I have seven 7 breeding age hens, only 3 or 4 are laying from them.
I also have 6 hens 2 year old non started yet, some of them layed last winter so i know they should lay this summer.
