Pretty new to BYC. I've had three golden sex links for almost two years now. They are amazing egg layers. I also have one buff Brahma who lays daily also. Here is "Red". She was always the darker colored hen.

. Here is a picture of "Snowflake" she was mostly white when a chick but every time she molted she got more "golden" in color.

. I call this one chicken butts.

. 4 chickens for two years has been fun and rewarding. Soooo, I wanted a couple more this year. When all was said and done I now have 6 new chicks about 8 weeks old. They are addictive! I'm with them every spare moment. Snowflake is the only chicken that will chase them away and seems annoyed by the newbies. The othr s have welcomed them just fine. My buff Brahma is extremely good with them.

Thank you! I'm loving them so much. They are not sex links. I added some black and white to my flock with 2 white orps, 2 barred rocks, and my neighbor gave me a speckled Sussex and white Plymouth rock. All are hens. Maybe next year a rooster

She should keep some white on her feathers. Here's my three year old Red Sex Link. It's hard to see but she still has white on her tail and on some body feathers as well.

She's so pretty!!!! I love her white tail! I'm hoping Rose keeps a lot of the white, it's so pretty.

When do red sex links start looking. Like actual chickens? Mine are 8 weeks old now and I was wondering when they look mature

Will she keep the white in her feathers or will she eventually turn all gold? She's about 4.5 weeks old.
