Ok someone please help me. I have a mayor issue. About 2 weeks ago I got my first flock of 5 red sex links. They were friendly and all for the first week but always shy. Recently they have been running away from me, squawking when I pick them up, and some of them try to peck me when I feed them from my hand! I'll give them a fresh blade of grass and they try to peck my fingers!!! So now I'm very upset. They are supposed to be very friendly birds and were when I got them! Now I don't know what's happening?!!! Am I doing something wrong? Am I over reacting? How to I tame them more?!!! HELP PLEASE!!

GOSH, I WOULD GIVE THEM TIME , they go through different stages at different ages,

but treats always help to keep them friendly , my 15 will all be around one year by the end of may2015 & will peck at food , fingers, and my diamond rings or spots on legs or what ever ....lol..

.....lol... especially the barred rocks they can really hurt my fingers and can be very aggressive over food, so i just toss it to them , before i let them eat out of my hand ...lol......lol....its just safer that way .....lol......

. Are your sex links as feathered out the same as mine? I have none to compare with. All the other chickens I have are CX.

No they are fully feathered. They're 9 weeks old

Ok I do give them treats which is a mix of shelled corn and mealworms. They LOVE the meal worms but won't touch the corn

any other suggestions of what to get them next time I'm at my local farmers market?
