Here's my new batch of red sex links

So cute i just LOVE baby chicks .

I am experimenting with breeding a RC RIR male with 2 RC RIR females and 7 RC RIW females. I just hatched
4 black color RC chicks, 2 white RC chicks and 3 RC RIR chicks. I added some eggs from some other coops and there are in addition 3 SC RIW chicks and 3 SC PR chicks that have hatched so far.

I just spent the last two hours outside in the cold with sparadic sprinkling rain. They chickens love it and I go out every morning to spend time with them. I was going to skip it this morning since the weather isn't so great, but their chirping and excitement got the best of me. I've been introducing my 6 new chicks (8 weeks) to my grown sex links the last two weeks. One of my sex links was not wanting them around at all and would chase them away. Well today she didn't and when I locked them all back up. In their side by side pens I seen my crabby girl laying down next to the chicks. Woo hoo. Here's a picture.

its in the 40's today so they are all puffed up.
