Just got my first egg from my bantam Speckled Sussex pullets! Really stoked!

I have been following this thread for awhile and it has been very enlightening. I do hope to one day find some really good show quality stock-

but for now I have my one and only Speckled Sussex pullet, Celeste.
How bad is she. She is 2 days past 9 weeks old.

While I don't have ay pics, could I get someone opinion.


I have been lookingover my cckls. One is s definite cull- thin scawny, and ease choice. One down.

While looking at the other males I realized that many had speckling over hte wings and possibly the back. I need to catch and move the wings to be sure. But definitly specking on the wings. Is this correct coloring on the males? My original male lacks speckling over back and wings: mostly red.

Second q-- my pullets look like it snowed. Heavily speckled, just like each feather is tipped in white. I though the pullets were supposed to have less white and then gain it with age. Is it ok that these girls are so heavily speckled at this early age?? Or will it pose a problem in future years?

It is too early to tell anything about type.
As far as color, I would watch the feather striping.
It shows up in the 5th picture

Sorry Ebers. I'm in Claremore but only have bantams. Offhand, I don't know of anyone that has Speckled sussex largefowl that are show quality in NE Oklahoma.
