thanks so much for your kind words! I right she was decent, especially for hatchery! her back is quite a bit lighter in color than the rest, I think the rest of her body the mahogany is ok. I'll have to try to figure out the hump. my guess is it's just ruffled feathers from all these bad little cockerals. I need to separate them out until they learn some manners. I came down with a terrible cold, so I might not get around to doing anything for a few days.

Ok I'm slowing finding my threads, but having a time figuring out where to find them again, I like the my posts on the old site so far that was easier. Morning all Kim

With what instruments do you punch and or slit the "toe" with? Sorry if you answered this in another post I am still working my way through.

You may have to email Snowbird ( Don) directly. He isn't on BYC a lot anymore. He is very gracious and willing to help all that ask.
He won't mind if you email him.

You can purchase a toe punch from many poultry supply web sites. Look around, they range from $4 on up. I have seen them on ebay too. They look like mini paper punches but are mainly flat. I use a small pair of sharp scissors to do slits.

I just saw one in a Randall Burkey catalog yesterday. It was called a CHICK TOE PUNCH and was $3.99
