I will be attending a show in a little over 2 weeks, and want to make a list of everything I need to remember to bring.

Here's what I have so far:
Birds for show & sale
NPIP Certificate Copy
Extra Shavings for cages
Water & Vitamins for water
Feed
Towel/Baby Wipes
Camera
Money
Business Cards
Boxes for sale birds
Cages for sale birds
Zip Ties - to close cages after judging is over

What else? I feel like i'm forgetting somethings.

Also, how far ahead should I bathe the birds for the show? These are Buff Silkies by the way. Ive heard the day before, or 2-3 days before. What's best?

WOW! Sounds exciting. Good luck and may the best looking chicken win! I want to show one of my japanese BTW, but I figure maybe since I am new to the chicken thing, I should take this year and just go to shows. That way I will know what to expect next year.

BEST OF LUCK!!!

We do 3 days before, keep them in deep shavings cleaned frequently and use the wipes to spot clean and clean feet.

To your list you might add VetRX for the combs and wattles. A slicker brush. A kitty litter scooper or mini dustpan/brush set for quick cleanups. Couple of emery boards. Nail clippers to get the zipties off among other uses. Some cage cups and pop bottle founts. Water from home. Something to read.

Don't forget the brushes and I always bring some q-tips and some VetRX also. I use a five gallon bucket with the carpenters pouches that fits right in the bucket, that way you can put all your supplies together.

I love shows!!!! I have met the most wonderful people...try to relax and enjoy it!

A chair for yourself, plus an extra. Grooming supplies, a hair dryer, hand sanitizer, something to tie the crests up before/after judging (the latex rubber bands work well, as does pink hair tape). A camera, a copy of the standard, extra leg bands.

We use them for grooming, fluffing tail.

+1 for the other's suggestions. Some things depend a lot on the show itself.

Baby oil
Vet Rx
+1 for the chair!!! You can never bring too many chairs

I'd bring a notebook for notes/contact info.

ALLERGY PILLS. (I'm allergic to feathers...teehee...)
