I would worry about them in the winter. Plus they are too ugly for me. NOTS (no offense to showgirls)

burntumber, thanks for the info. i have 3 blue partridge showgirls. i have 7 other bearded silkies. blue, splash, partridge, white, and black. would not mind having some white offspring. the other partridge i have are brown. wonder what i would get if i crossed blue and brown partridge. will have to see if somebody can suggest a good book on genetics. glad to see i might have some white in the background. thanks again

I'll have a white homozygous Showgirl for sale at some point in the near future. He's what you need!

The one cream chipmunk marked one I hatched is feathering in red. Soooo pretty, but I think it's a roo

. I might have to build a whole new pen just to keep him.......

Gotta know how you got red, it's so pretty, I think I will need more if there is a chance of more red.....

krista, we will have to swap pics when the girls get adult feathers. by then i should have figured out how to do that. would love to see red. now i wonder if our chicks are from the same parents. would love to have red in the background! congrats!!!

I have a dark buff hen and have never really figured out if she's red or buff. I've resolved to call her a buff. But perhaps she's red! LOL! That's her on the left as a pullet- this pic is about a year old.

White homozygous SG roo. I should mention that pic on my monitor is dark and high contrast-ie - she's not that dark.
