Showgirl Questions

I do have some extra blue cockerels, same age and similar quality to the one posted, although the one posted has been promised for quite some time to lovely Letisha who I think goes by simply splendid silkies on here. The black boy I posted is also available. Too many cockerels this year.

regardless, I would be interested to see how other people are progressing with getting their showgirls back to silkie type? How are you progressing with skin color, comb shape and color, width of cushion, etc?

One struggle I have had and have seen is getting good middle toe feather. It seems harder to get on a female compared to a male, but I do have pullets with middle toe feather. If you look closely at the picture of the blue SG hen I posted, mother to the blue boys, you will notice she has very very sparse middle toe feathering, although the rest of her foot has nice feathering and her shanks are covered.

So, how would I enter a Bearded White Showgirl Pullet?

So there breed is still bearded silkie, then the variety is showgirl white.

ahha i got it, Makes sense what she says, becouse teh showgirl is NOT reconized for there own breed, if you put under AOV silkie then it can be judged for the BEST AND RESAERVE.

So i will be putting mine under the same way.
