Aww rilly those babes are bootiful. Love the colors. I have some blue and splash silkie eggs in the bator due late X Mas eve.

A splash SG?.....Sounds lovely, if you get it please post pic. I'd love to see it.

Thanks guys! They are my 1st SG babies! I think the first one is going to be white though

My splash lav split who was throwing the partridge chicks was in the pen at the time I collected the eggs so I wonder if it was from her.

I will post a pic of the Splash SG once she in home and settled in! I am heading out in a few hours to get her!

I also just hatched 3 babies from my SG Lav pen! A lav silkie, a lav sg, and a black split sg!!! YAY!!!!

They are my first lavenders from my own eggs!!!! They are fluffing up in the bator now!

OK so here is a pic of the splash sg hen I just got this weekend. She is so sweet! I got her from Nikki at Hattrick and she is awsome! She even gave me 3 eggs that she laid from the 3 days before I got her and then she layed one the first day with me so they are in the bator now with 3 of my own Sg eggs! The splash was being covered by a blue roo before she came home with me so they should be blue and splash chicks! This is going to be a very exciting hatch!

How are everyone elses showgirls doing?

Wow Rilly! You are killing me! I love her! Nikki posted a pic on facebook of another splash showgirl that I also just loved. I would love to get a splash Showgirl one of these days. But I do love the blue and black. I moved silkie eggs into the hatcher this this evening. Not really expecting another 100% because most of the eggs are not mine. But we will see! I am running out of space here. I plan to take the babies to the show in NW Georgia on Jan 15th. When I set all of these eggs I did not expect to have this kind of hatch rate. But am not complaining.

Good luck with your eggs! Hey when your bator gets full I have 3 incubators here so there is always room for more.

Congrats on the splash! Did you not just get silkies from Premier Silkies? I thought I read that on the board somewhere.

Rilly, she's beautiful! I love that soft blue background color. I have two beautiful splash hens, but they're a lot darker than she. One has a bowtie; the other doesn't. I showed the one without bowtie in Shawnee, and showed her sister in Shawnee last year. Good going on yours!!

Thanks! She is really sweet! I did get a black pair but it got too cold to ship so I will have to TRY be patient and wait until spring! LOL! I will probably put the splash sg in with the Premeir pair and also add a black pullet I hatched last summer to the pen. I will be hatching every egg from that pen!

So my pens for the spring will be:

1) Black roo over black hens and splash SG hen* (* unless one of the chicks I am growing out ends up to be a nice blue cockeral then I will have the splash hen and a blue pullet with him so blacks will be seperate from blues/splashes)

2) Lav SG roo over lav hen, and 2 black split hens

3) Porcelain and lav roo over porcelain and lav hens (all silkies)

I am DONE buying silkies! I swear!
