Just silkies hatching now, and some still left in the brooder! Can't wait till next year!

My recent showgirl, it's lavender but the flash light is frost it. Still it's a interesting picture I think.

One showgirl babe hatched two days ago in an outside nest--in their coop, but outdoors. I've just let the blacks do what they want this season--the black/lav split showgirl is the roo, but since he had 10 hens, I haven't expected many fertile eggs. They occasionally hatch one or two, but this one is the first showgirl. I also think it's a lav. Could be a splash, time will tell. There are currently six hens on eggs, and some of the hens are also black/lav splits, but one or two may be very dark blues.

That's fun, Betsy, bit they love the freedom of it and they can do so much better job raising them.
Your porcelin are doing great, I'm so bless to have your line, they're just gorgiouse. Have to get ride of some roo thou, they just don't get alone at all.

Here's my newest SG chick I hatched it with eggs from SimplySplendidSilkies for my X Mas hatch.

It's waaayyyy fuzzier than the last hatch cause it has a different daddy.

Fowlrus and Silkie Sue- Those babies are soooo cute!

I have 2 blue/splash SG eggs due this weekend! They are from Hattrick silkies so I am soooo excited! Nikki gave me some eggs when I got the splash hen from her. I hope they both hatch!
