Showgirl with a bad spider bite!!! *Graffic Pics***

I haven't tried to mess with her too much, she had an hour ride in my car that exacerbated her stress levels a bit. She does hold her head up at times, but she can't stand so I'm wondering if the infection is spreading. From what I understand she has been in this condition for 2-3 days. I believe it's fluid filled, her crest feathers look like they are wet or sticky from fluid coming from it. The lump and swelling in that area are at least 2 times the size of her neck, right now it appears to only be on the back of her head and neck. The lump is lumpy itself, if that makes sense. I have seen only slight blood but it appears to be from the skin cracking because of the size of the lump.

@Wyorp Rock might be able to help you. She gives really great advice and is also a BYC educator. Hopefully she’ll be along soon to help you out! Follow the advice given to you so far as well, it seems like you seem to also have some good ideas of what to do.
Thank you! I've dealt with my fair share of emergencies and injuries but this even has me cringing. I'm a sucker for chickens though, my chicken friends know I'll take in an injured bird and try my best with it :)

I know everyone keeps tagging you, but @casportpony
Sorry, lol.

If she were mine I would start by removing the feathers 1/4" to 1/2" away from the lump. Then I would get busy removing pus, dirt, dead tissue, etc. Once I had that done I would rinse it with saline and chlorhexidine.

What antibiotics do you have?

Are you sure it's from a spider bite and not a wound that is infected?

I first would try trimming more feathers away from the wound/swelling so you can see it more clearly. Then try to clean it and post more photos.
I'm assuming the yellow is ointment? If that is discharge, then you have infection, but it would be hard to know what to use. What do you have on hand?

On hand just Duramycin and I think I have some Tylan. For the wounds I do have Vetericyn and Blue Kote. I was wondering if a saline flush would be good for her, I can get that in the morning.
