(where's the tissue, I'm drooling with anticipation)

I candled and had to toss 3 blood ring/quitters, so there are STILL 13 good eggs. Really excellent results for this time of year in Colorado!

I am home now!!! The babies waited for me! Still no pips! I can hear them peeping though! Here is the first picture.
Still in egg. I will keep you all updated.

Ooooh, come on babies!

I couldn't resist shining a flashlight on a couple of the eggs today. I could see the teeny tiny chicks swimming around in there. Aw, this is too exciting! They're really going to hatch this time, I can FEEL it!

Okay, I expected to get up this morning and at least see pips, but saddly nothing. It is day 22. I sure hope they can get through today. If not it isnt looking good. They developed fine and I heard peeping last night. The day before I could see the eggs rocking. ???? I dont know what could have gone wrong. Or maybe they are just late.

I had an odd hatch last week too. Mixed eggs and sounds like yours.

hang in there!Temp might have been a wee bit low.:<)

Okay! I will calm down now. I have been in just stareing at the eggs, like that would help. I heard a peep. So temp may be a factor??? I had to open the bator a lot while trying to up the humidity. Do you think that slowed things down a bit?? I do feel better now. Thank you Magsrags.

I will try to be patient.

hehehe

It is nerve racking I know, but all are part of the fun. I try to tell people not to disturb the eggs especially the last three days, but it does not help....curious mind wants to know. Right?
I think any change of temp or humidity in the last three days can greatly effect the hatch, and if the eggs being move/change position could also cosing some problems, because they rotate themselves to position to hatch, if we change it, it will be difficult for them to turn around when they already so big and stuck there.
But again, this is the batch that took soooo long to get to you, it's amazing that you could get so many to developed, I will give them few more hours/days and see...... Best of luck.

Guess what!!! 2 hatched!! It was a dry hatch (probably because I could not get the humidity right) but they are hatched. Here they are.

I know, I really try to leave them alone the last three days. I had to try to get that humidity right. It still was not right!! But I have two beautiful babies! Thanks Angie. These two over came all odds!! They went through 12 days of cold transport with UPS and still ended up here tonight! It was a long day for them though.
