I don't think we'll get in on the test hatch. That might be a bit too tricky if we have seramas already in the bator. But, boy is it tempting! The pics of Angie's birds just make me want to turn the whole backyard into a chicken run! Good Lord, please don't let Mom see that!

Angie I will end up wanting to get around 2 dozen 1 dozen out of the splash pen and 1 mixed up dozen but I can't order till around Feb 25 or so becouse I have a batch of auraconas in right now that my wife is trying to hatch so just PM me and let me no what my total will be thanks. Oh yeah my 1st batch is doing great the buff colors look more white now but 1 of them looks like a white/buff mix. They are getting so big there wing and tail feathers are coming in great.

Thats great. I am not sure what mine are going to look like. My yellow chicks, two have black spots on their heads. I think that will give them character.
Mocha, We can try to hide this from your mom but she is a member now. hehehe!!!!! Your whole backyard a chicken run!!!ROFLOL!!!

My DH would kill me. I sure would love a splash though!! Banish the thought. DH is in control now. He has literally sent my incubator away. Its stored at my dads. (not that i couldnt pull strings to get it back here.) hehehe

Hi Icemocha, so sorry you lost the last one. "Hatching is an emotional rollercoaster" - well said. And what an experience! I think you and your mom did real good. If the weather had been better and USPS didn't take so long/better handling, you could have had better hatch, either way, those chicks are very lucky to be in this loving home. After you hatch a few, it will get easier.... you can see where I'm trying to go with this...

Thanks, sewincircle, my other half gave up on me long time ago, chicks is so irresistible, but once a while I still promise "no more chicken", he knew this is one promise I can't keep.

What can I say, they are just too darn cute.
Shay20, I have a pen with black, blue, white and splash together. I can't guarantee what you might get out of that pen, I think someone on BYC have all white, You might want to check that out.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, and USPS up speed on delivery, I'm thinking hatching rate will go up too .
