Hope this is the right forum. So I went to a single show, ABA today for a look-see. Nice chickens everywhere.I asked where the waterfowl were: "back in the corner, there's some ducks".So I make my way over there. To my disapointment I found 30+ ducks. All Call Ducks, of those more than half were white. On white and one black Muscovy. Nothing else.
Is this normal? Are there always such sparse entries? So if I go to a show and have my Runners and Saxonys and am the only entrant how do they judge?By the standards? Like if you have a bad representative of the breed you get nothing? Or you automatically get blue? Or they do a point system or something and you get say a 3rd based on that?
Or are their more waterfowl in other areas, just not many near me?
