    Benefits:
    Talking with other breeders about the breeds you love. For some reason I talk to more people at Ohio National than any other show--but still plenty of conversation to be had at others (Really enjoyed NE Poultry Congress this year).

    Aquiring top quality breeding stock. Shipping for large fowl is very expensive and this way you get to look at the birds before purchasing and talk to the owners to learn how to care for them and get them into show condidtion.

    Seeing breeds you might not have seen otherwise. Always interesting.

    Taking a mini vacation! Always good on my list.

    Poultry Press is probably the best source of a list of shows, there are a few websites that list shows as well.
