Sick 4 mo old pekin

Thanks. I did read that article and saw the pics.
I can't imagine if she could never walk.
That's not much of a life.

How long should I expect to do the vit b every day?

Should I add the calcium?

Thanks again for all your help.

Hi, I've been reading this site forever. First time I have a problem. Last week I bought two 4 mo old female pekins. One is doing great. The other is 1/2 the weight.
For four days now I have been treating her for the start of bumble foot, clearing up nicely.
She was not keep in the best conditions. She had never been out of a tiny cage.
She had a lot of small cuts and small thorns on bottom of both feet., all almost healed.
She trys to walk a few steps then she slowly just lays down. Tail tucked under her and body hunched over.
Right now she is residing in my garden tub.
She is eating well, I have transitioned her to layer crumble from the starter she was on.
She drinks a lot of fresh water.
I have had her on amoxcicillion for three days.
Added sardines to her feed for the niacin.
Started niacin powder tonight.
She's getting two long soaks in the tub everyday which she plays and sorta swims. Don't know if she's lazy or it is painful.
Am I missing something she just doesn't seem to be getting any more ambulatory.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
I think you are great! Your love will save that little soul. Hugz from Chile!

You don't think your little Pekin will ever be able to walk? Can you post a pic of her legs?
Do the Vit B complex everyday until you see big improvement and yes go ahead and start her on the calcium too. Hopefully you'll begin to see improvement. okay you started the complex on Sat. so yes go ahead and get her on the calcium too she is close enough to egg laying it should be fine. And will help with bone strength. put a teaspoon along with the b complex over what ever your using to get her to take the B complex .

Thanks. Will start calcium today.

I'll take some pics after her swim tonight. That seems to be the best time that she does the most standing.

I noticed starting yesterday that she has been laying more on her right side with her left foot out. Not extended, just out to the side.

Her poop is loose today, don't know if that's effects of the vit b complex. I swear as the food goes in its coming out the other end just as fast
