sick acting trukey hen

I haven't read through all the pages but I had a turkey that was sick once like this. He stood with his head down towards his chest and he had really yellow/green smelly poo. I'm convinced we would have lost him but some people on here suggested cayenne pepper. We went nuts with it in the water and food and within a few days he did get better.. and he's now a healthy turkey who's currently outside strutting his stuff to his female and gobbling away.

My tom was like that when he had is respiratory problem and is kinda like that now. I'm treating the head/neck problem (wry neck) now with the suggestions that everyone on here gave me.

So you only used cayenne pepper? WOW!

Yep, cayenne pepper and lots of luvins'.. but I know I got lucky as far as his problems went, lol. Maybe I caught it so early that's all I had to do, because we were out there every day playing with them so I noticed instantly. That and I used a bottle between the food and water - gosh that stuff is nasty when you're sneezing it!!

I'm going to go back and read the other pages now.. I didn't even know turkeys could get wry neck!! I've only heard about that in rabbits!

Does Vitamin E containing Selenium come in a liquid form. Cutting the tips off of these gelcaps are soooooooooooo time consuming. It's kiling me but I will continue to do it for my Tom Turkey until I can find the liquid (if they sell it) .
