SICK BABY CHICKS!!!!!!

I HAVE 28 CHICKS THAT WE BOUGHT FROM MCM. THEY ARE 8 WEEKS OLD NOW. SINCE THEY ARRIVED, WE HAVE LOST 1 OR 2 A WEEK. THEY ARE FINE 1 MINUTE & DEAD THE NEXT. ALL SEEM TO HAVE A SWOLLEN BUM, VERY RED. SOME OF THEM GET REAL PASTY AND NEED CLEANING. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? WE HAVE RAISED ABOUT 75 CHICKENS WITH NO PROBLEM, BUT THESE ARE OUR FIRST ONE'S FROM MCM.:|

sounds like stress/chill/pasty butt from travel..
keep the vent area clean and clear...

what bedding are you using?
what temperature is the brooder?(should be 95 degrees first week.)
are they having any normal droppings?

what are you feeding?
are they eating and drinking?
are you giving chick vitamins?

try giving some baby rice cereal with a little plain yogurt...then their chick feed.

THEY ARE GOING ON 9 WEEKS OLD NOW. LOST ANOTHER ONE SATURDAY & ONE TODAY. THIS ISNT OUR FIRST BABY'S. I'VE DONE EVERYTHING THE SAME. I STARTED THEN ON MEDS. SATURDAY. I'M USING SHAVINGS IN THE BROADER, HOPE FOR THE BEST.

could they be "constipated" or stopped up, causing swelling?
what med did you use?
what kind of shavings?

And what kind of chicks are they? Losing one or two a week makes them sound like meat birds. Especially with the swollen bottom thing going on.
