Help!!
Three days ago I noticed my bantam cochin rooster was a little squinty looking. I had just cleaned out their pens so I assumed it was because of the dust. Then yesterday he still looked a little squinty but then he was limping. I picked him up and discovered he had scaly leg mites and feather lice!!! I rarely pick him up because he doesn’t like it except maybe once a month to check him over, nail trims etc… anyway I immediately separated him, soaked his legs in oil twice that day and put a couple drops of stock guard on him. Gave him some eggs with chick feed and sav a chick in his water. This morning when I went to check on him he’s gotten worse, he’s huddled and hunched down, still limping, has a pale comb and a wet poopy butt. I did get him to eat some eggs and wet chick feed but I’m worried he won’t make it. Please, what should I do!! What else can I try? I feel so bad, I treated the whole flock for both to be safe but nobody has it like he did.
