This morning when I went to the coop Dodo was waiting at the door with the others to get out. I opened the door and they all poured out including Dodo. She is much more energetic today. She was running around a little and she did the scratching thing that chickens do for the first time since she got sick. Some of the rest of my chickens are back to normal and the rest aren't far behind! She was eating grass and pecking around. She is still weak and it looked like she almost fell over once. I went in the coop and found some more green poop but only a little. It did have normal color in it. Like the coral color of a shed lining of their ,intestines is it? And even though it was green, it was solid. Some other poo I found had very little green in it. So happy it's helping and thanks for all your help!!!
I'm still finding green poop. Not much though. It looks like only one of them is producing green poop. Dodo is still eating and walking around. Her tail feathers have stood up quite a few times. When will this all be over?! Ugh! I'm happy because they all look better but then I get worried when I seen poo. I have no clue whose it is. It looks normal except for the color. Hoping I don't find any more tomorrow. This is their 3rd day on Corid.
They haven't eaten much grass. They don't seem to care for it much since I've noticed some being sick. They had some cornbread, tomatoes, strawberries and a little grass. It is firm with a white cap though. They still are a little lethargic. Dodo had more energy but still really weak.
*Another update* All of my chickens seem to be doing pretty good today. I found another green poop in the coop but only on there. I don't think it's Dodo that's making these. I separate my new roosters from the new hens and they stay out in an outside pen all night because I have nowhere else to put them. Well anyway, I went up there this morning to put them back in with hens again so I could let my old flock outside and I saw one of the roosters poo green. Not really green though. It was mostly normal. But they like to sleep on the food bag (which I can't stand!) but I found some poo with a little blood in it. So my diagnosis is, in fact, Coccidiosis so I'm doing the right thing to treat them! I have already given all 32 chickens Corid by mouth this morning and changed some water and put Corid in that as well. I am seeing results right before my eyes and I am so glad I joined this website a few months ago because I really needed it these past few days. This is their 4th day on Corid and I will give them that for 3 more days. Thanks again to everyone who has helped me! I really appreciate it.
Ok I'll do that then. I was worried about just stopping after 3 more days because I thought they might catch it again or wouldn't be completely gone. Thanks!
