Sick chick?

Honestly other than the yellow poop (which I wasn’t sure who it was until last few days) and the breathing while she was sleeping, this little gold star has seemed completely happy. She is quite active. She is also probably my boldest chick, fearlessly investigating everything (even when the other chicks are afraid). Yesterday I switched to the heat plate with only a heat lamp angled high to take the edge off (i kept the ambient temp of their pen at 60 all night and yesterday afternoon through 9 pm they just had the heat plate. I’ll only be using the heat lamp from 9 pm-10 am from here on out, and plan to move them to an outdoor starter coop by early next week. I live in Phoenix so nights should be over 50 soon....

That was the only time I have seen her breathing like that and she was sleeping, so I am hoping it was temp related. That said, I likely still need to deal with the yellow poop, so I am thinking I will just treat them all with electrolytes and Corid (more have yellow poop than had yellow poop when I got them...not all, but my guess is 3-4 instead of 1-2...they all poop so much it is hard to tell.

here is a video of her this morning (and our brooder set up). She is the gold star on the right.

The poop on the first page looks pretty normal to me. Cecal poop.
If you have more current photos of the poop without red lighting we'll take another look.

Corid will not hurt them if you feel they do need treated for Coccidiosis. If you decide to give Corid make the mixed water the only thing they drink. No electrolytes or extra vitamins added.
Liquid Corid dose is 2 tsp per gallon of water and powdered Corid is 1 1/2 tsp per gallon of water. Give as the sole source of drinking water for 5-7 days.

If she's stopped the gasping, is eating/drinking/active - then for me, I would just observe for now and see if anything changes.

Pic of poop. My chicks have about a two week age span (2-4 weeks, roughly). Some of their poop is firmer and darker (I would describe as typical bird poop), and some are as pictured. When I got them I think only 1-2 chick’s poop was softer, now based on volume it seems like 3-4, but maybe that is age related or just different chicks?

That's just a cecal poop. Normal to see them daily or so.

Good visual references for all kinds of poops,
just don't jump to any terrible conclusions too quickly:

I'm glad she seems to have worked through whatever the issue was! I was searching posts because I have a two week old chick with the same problem. She's acting 100% normal -- eating, drinking, loves to roost on her mini roosting bar, lots of energy. But when she sleeps, she occasionally has a rhythmic "gasp." I can't hear anything. She shows no signs of distress. It's quite strange. I have a Brinsea heating plate, so I don't think temperature is an issue.
