Sick Chick

Sick chick died. I think it was a respitory infection. I have ordered natural antibiotics for the rest of the chicks that were exposed. I highly do not suggeat this hatchery. 33% is not an acceptable survival rate. The chicks were just so weak.

At the time I liked the shipling costs. I made my order in January and they called the day before they sent my chicks and told me that they only had female cornish cross and only 20 when I ordered 25 straight run. from the start I was agitated, and im really uoset about the health of these babies.

My little nephew put the new baby chicks head in water what can we do to make him better or is he going too pass, please help my sister and nephew dont know how to take care of animals :/

Don't dunk a chick's head in water. When you first move to the brooder, gently dip their beak in the food and water once to one chick. After that it's monkey see monkey do.

Unless the chick hasn't eaten or drank in a day or two, it will be fine. Also make sure the brooder is warm enough. What signs are they showing?
