My black australorp has been hanging out in the nesting box all day. I often find her sitting on eggs, so my initial thought is she is just being 'broody'. However when I remove the eggs and get her out of the coop to free range with the other two chickens (which I practically have to force her to do- not at all typical for her) I've noticed the others are really starting to pick on her, chase her around the yard, and pecking at her pretty bad. Her comb is slightly more pale than usual and she's making some weird high-pitch almost 'chirping noises' that she's never made before. And her poops are either next to nothing like a dime size or huge - I'm talking the size of a racquetball! I've checked her out and don't see any mites or anything like that. She's still laying, so she isn't bound. I just gave her some garlic and oregano in a treat this morning because I've heard that can help with different chicken ailments. Any other suggestions? Or does anyone know what could be wrong with her?

There are fewer types of worms that can be seen with the naked eye, than not. Not seeing worms doesn't mean a thing.
Good to know! Is there a natural solution or just medication?

Just looked it up on the site. Cayenne pepper and garlic! I put some of each in their water and feed. Hoping it helps.

If it is worms and I went through all the recommended steps to get rid of them how long does it take to see results? She was still in the coop all day today.
