Sick Chicken

Yesterday we lost a young pullet. This morning my young rooster seems sick. His comb, which is usually upright has fallen to one side and he doesn't move around much but he is standing and scurried away when I open the pen door. Afraid an infection of some sort has gotten in my young birds. The adults in a separate pen seem fine. Any info would be appreciated.

How old are they? Are they eating and drinking? One possibility is cocci, which you can treat with Corid. Might be worth a try.

This thread is about a flock with the kind of cocci that cause blood in the poop, but there are several strains of cocci and only some cause bleeding. It gives the dose and instructions.
