My first small flock of well summers are about a year old. Last week I noticed one of the 5 had ruffled feathers and had a shrunken pale comb and waddle. I separated her and she died a day later. I noticed 3 of the remaining 4 have scaley shrunken waddles now. They are all eating and drinking water and moving around fine. Any advice?

Could be a case of SLM, but I'm not sure about it happening on faces. Maybe normal mites, are the hens at all lethargic and/or not breathing well?

The hens could have Anemia or a bad mite infestation, they could have a different illness but try looking up the symptoms and how to treat those. Are the hens lethargic/missing feathers/ do you see any signs of mites or cracked skin on their legs and body, could you send photos of their legs?

Thank you all for the for the replies! I live in southern Oregon it's dark right now but I will take a look and photos of their legs tomorrow. 3 of the 4 are loosing feathers the one hen looks really healthy with no feather loss and I have been getting one egg every other day for the last month. That's when the egg laying started to slow down but we are also going into winter here. Haven't noticed any lethargy in them, the one that passed moved a little slower but she still ran around. Can't notice substantial weight loss although only some will let me pick them up

Some photos of their legs as best as I could get before work.
