2 of my 1 week old silkies have baldness around their vents. the third one doesnt have the baldness at all. The woman I bought them from, said they had pasty butts sometimes, and she picked one up, and sure enough it did, she just ripped the poop off their butts, didnt loosen or anything so im wondering if maybe the baldness comes from the ripping of the poop?or is a bald rear always a big bad problem? not sure what to do next! monitor for pooping i guess!? they eat and drink, thanks for any input. Im super new, and nervous something will go wrong with these little sweeties. No poopy butts since coming to my house, though. I think it was dietary.....they have been fine since. thanks!
