Sick duck

Your just going to have to keep her on the liquid B complex. Depending on how long it's been going on depends on how long it takes to recover.
I was wondering about eating since I free feed my birds even though they free range I just think my layers need the extra nutrients since their bodies are making eggs. Is you drake mating her? that maybe should not be happening while she isn't walking well. Is she eating good? also she needs to be getting 1ml of the liquid B complex daily.

She's getting the b complex daily..so should I be feeding her more? Yes he is mating her..I don't really know how to keep him away from her. . I think they both would due without bei g together.. she cry's when I separate them at night . He's always right beside her all the time...

They really do need each other and as long as he isn't going crazy on the mating some drakes are so overboard with mating they would keep a duck from recovering.
If she is laying I would at least give them feed in the morning and in the evening. Especially now with her needing more nourishment since she is having trouble walking. She probably isn't doing much foraging either right now?

I think you should definitely be making her duck feed available to her all day, with the added yeast. Also give the 1 ml vitamin B complex. It will take awhile for it turn around since she's been depleted for so long. I would continue to let her exercise in the pool, maybe lifting her out when she's done so she doesn't hurt her legs by jumping. If you could get the next bigger size wading pool she might be able to paddle around also, which could help her develop strength. Also, you should be thinking about long term and how male ducks need 4-5 females fpr a proper ratio, so one does not become over-mated. It sounds like he's pretty well behaved, but it might also help you to have some extra females so he's not bored and that gives her some extra friends as well.

The other day thue I seen him on her in the cage and she didn't want it but she's the one crying and trying to get to him ... She's sticking her beak thrue the cage trying to get to him.. do I should put them together?? I am going to ?
I would not put them together at night. They will get used to the sleeping arrangements in separate cages. It's being "cruel to be kind" as it would not be good for her to be mounted by the drake at night.

I will let others weigh in on that as I know nothing about it, other than I have read of others feeding cat food, just not sure how much or how long. But, that sounds like the perfect thing to add the liquid vitamin B complex to, or the brewer's yeast, if it's wet food.

Well we went to cedar point and stayed one night and the person we got to take care of our animals didn't take care of them...we left Thursday
Probably because she's not feeling well. One of my pekins who has the most docile personality got really sick last fall - we're not even sure what it was, but she was not doing well, and her personality changed in that she was clearly more irritable and would nip us if we tried to touch her.
Well we went to cedar point ... We left Thursday 16 around 2 and came home Friday 17 around 9...Thought we had someone to take care of our chickens and ducks and 4 baby kittens but we thought wrong..came home to a gone rooster and a couple of hens and my 2 female ducks... One gone kitty cat to!!! I was very upset!!! As you all know I had to carry my Pekin to bed at night and other places.. so I have had to try and deal with thinking that she was just sitting there waiting on me and instead something got her that took her short life!! It's very hard for me cuz this is my life , my chickens,ducks!!..I had to stop thinking about my misery and think about my male duck!! He is miserable and I have been trying to get a Female Duck but have had no luck.. So today we went and got 6 baby ducks that are 2 days old!!! I know my male can't wait 6 weeks ( is that how long)? Anyhow we are still looking for a female..I wanted to thank you all for helping me with my beautiful Pekin duck when I needed help!!!!

What breed of duck and what do you feed your ducks? How old is she? Is the male overmating her? Usually you need 4-5 females per male. These are some basic questions that might help people be better able to assess what's going on. Also, any video or photo helps!
