Sick of rising fuel prices!

Again, the original intent of this post was to provide the link for people to attempt to do something constructive by signing a petition to inform those who are supposed to represent our interests and those of our nation that we can no longer be dependent on foreign sources of energy.

Just wondering if any one read the original post, yet alone linked it or signed the petition.

Or we could just stop burning oil like there's no tomorrow. Let's combine trips, ride bicycles, drive smaller cars, shop locally, dial back the AC, and save some oil for tomorrow.

What do you not understand? If we build more nuke plants, the air will be clean and I can set my AC on 50 degrees if I want. What is the issue with capacity? The country and the world is growing. More computers and every other gadget takes energy....

Why suffer when we can responsibly and cleanly produce energy?

I think some WANT everything to fail so they can go back to a more simple time. The only problem is that they want to take everyone else with them and not give anyone an option of living "modern".

I think blaming this all on just one thing is very short sighted, it never is just one thing.

It's not just:

1.) The Gov't
2.) The oil companies
3.) Other countries
3.) The environmentalists
4.) The wasteful consumer - don't get me going on this one, jetski's that pollute the water, leaf blowers just blowing the junk around instead of raking & picking up, ATV's cause we are to fat & lazy to take a hike......

Each and every one has a hand in this situation, so deal with it & move on.

Enron the documentary clearly shows that supply & demand can & is & shall be manipulated by corporations. So that argument does very little for me. That the gov't will not be affective to do anything about it is also demonstrated in that documentary. For a lay person such of myself this was really brought home by The Corporation another documentary that I thought was very well done. Eye opening both of them if you haven't seen them, I highly recommend....off to see what this link is all about.....

First, we're not suffering. Far, far from it.

Second, there's no such thing as free, clean energy. There are no perpetual motion machines, no magic engines that run on water.

If you want to keep your air conditioning at 50 degrees, you're gonna have to pay for it. No one owes you cheap oil or electricity, no one wants to hear you complain about it or demand that someone subsidize it for you.

Demanding that we drill in the arctic wildlife refuge just so we can briefly postpone the inevitable is not my ideal of "constructive".

Let's save a little oil for our grandchildren.

Wait...your the one who said dial back the AC. I keep mine at 74. I like it there 70 is more comfortable and I sleep like a baby, but don't do it. Why should I suffer(above 74) because enviro-wackos won't let capacity increase? Why should I pay ___ (Insert price) for gas, when if the enviro-wackos would let us drill, gas would be _____(Insert previous price and subtract $1)....

I never said free(you just did)...distorting facts...typical liberal....

I will pay for what I want. Me paying more because some enviro-idiots won't let us get cheap, responsible, clean energy is where I draw the line!!

You don't get it...you say inevitable.... not everyone else does.... so far we have at least 70 years or oil....they will find more...they stopped looking because you can't drill what they find anyway...so why look for more??

Your second point for our grandchildren.... well won't be all be driving zero emission hydrogen cars anyway? why will they need oil except to see it in a history museum....Right???

Drilling in ANWAR will increase supply and bring down price.... we have lots of oil in other place to drill once ANWAR is used up....
