sick roo/ Rattling in his chest

aliright 2 weeks ago we had a roo get a runny nose and a small rattle in his chest
we started a med last week som time and he seems to be getting better, his runny nose is better but the rattle in his chest is pretty consistant

is he contagious after 2 weeks?, as he is isolated in the warm basement
the basement has a woodburning stove that has been burning wood since he has been down there
(think this could be complacting his illness?)

What medication did you start? Tylan soluble is the only medication I use for respiratory problems. Is a vet visit possible?

he is on tylan, and no the vet wont see him,

am i right to assume it is a respitory infection? or what else could cause the rattling in his chest,
we are getting ducklings next week i guess we should keep them seperated as well
