Brown is also the color of mud - the mud that follows the snow. It's also the color of that nasty slush that winds up on the roads when snow gets driven upon.

Brown is the color of my lawn when the days grow short and the weather gets cold. Brrrr.

Green is the color of the trees, and the grass, and all the lovely growing things (even the algae in the water trough that I have to clean out several times a week when the weather is hot!)
