*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Terry, if I could quit chew, you can quit smoking. It was hard (far harder than giving up alcohol) , but I got it done. There are on line support groups for people breaking the nicotine addiction. My son in law used one and was successful in giving up snuff. Glad to hear that the outlook is positive.

:hide so scary, and so glad that tge outlook is good.

Think how many more chickens you can afford, if he gives up smoking!! :gig

I need a hug, friends. Just received a phone call informing me that one of the men who worked for me has died. He lived a good life - 98 years old, spouse and 3 children still alive - but it's still a loss to the world and to me. 'Uncle Dud' was kind, honest, logical, hard working - he loved animals (owned a pet shop for a while) and always had some project ongoing - a young man's mind trapped in an old man's body. He developed dementia about a year ago and went downhill rapidly over the last year. His passing is a good thing, but ----

The things you don't know about somebody. In order to get him a promotion, I basically 'forced' him to enroll in an animal care accreditation program - which he did reluctantly. Turns out that he only had an 8th grade education and was fearful. His daughter told me that he was so proud and so thankful of my prodding and support --- The last two years that he worked for me my department manager allowed me to jack up his overtime so that his last years of employment were quite healthy $ wise, and his retirement went well.

Strangely I was thinking of him very strongly just recently. You all know what I think of 'coincidences'. Ken, you were a good man, and I am proud to have considered you a friend. Rest in peace until we meet again.

Sour, sounds like you were a blessing to your friend, and were richly blessed in return. I'm sorry for your loss.
