*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Well, I couldn't find anyone to chop off heads, so I had to settle for a candiru aquarium. Eating anything other than what JD brings out of the kitchen is not recommended.

BYOH = bring your own hatchet.

No guarantee where sour's mind resides it travels so many tracks that I can not keep up to it.
Funny - I knew the H stood for "hatchet." Sour, you didn't leave any of your mind out there on one of my rabbit trails, did you?

And while I'm sure that Sour wouldn't use his hatchet on me, I'm never 100% sure, so I like a little breathing room, y'know? Most everybody knows that you don't hit the Bunny; well, hugging the Bunny isn't 'zactly on the free list, either. I may look like a plush toy, but I'm not. The Bunny has a slingshot, and she knows how to use it (my aim with it is much better than with snowballs or water balloons!)

Oh, Alaskan? I'm afraid the 90 degree temps got away. What we have today is 86. Will that do?

Really?

Wow.....

My mind s so low that the rest of me can't even fit down there.

So THAT is what caused it!

Alaskan woke up this morning at a decent time, looked out the window (this, in general, is a HUGE mistake, but Alaskan *obviously* has trouble learning).

What covered the landscape as far as Alaskan could see?

SNOW

Oh yes, this morning, it all looked like those postcard "winter wonderland" with the snow on the trees, and ALL OVER ON EVERYTHING!

Alaskan went right back to bed, hiding under the covers, with the thought that maybe the sun would feel guilty for being so cold and the sun just might, might melt the monstrosity away.

But, Alaskan is obviously a failure at sleeping until the snow is gone.

Alaskan is now awake, and moving, and there is STILL snow. Not only is there still snow, but the air has that white hazy look to it, so you know more snow is coming down.

Sort of like you are standing inside a cloud.

Well, rats! (Or should that be "voles?")

I tried to send you some of that lovely warm, I really did, but every time I brought the box in the house, I found it had sneaked out somehow.

would envy you, at least for a little while. She loves the white stuff, and is annoyed that it only happens here once in a great while. The last good coating we got was in 2010 (I will spare you the pics). I love the fact that it is a rare event, so I can enjoy the beauty, knowing that it won't stick around long enough to be a pain (for a few years, I lived just east of Lake Ontario. Lake effect snow - oy!) But every time we get even a dusting, I hear the phrase "winter wonderland" so much I want to bite!

Critter talked about moving to Alaska once. I told him if he did, he was going alone. I guess he likes having me around, huh?

But don't worry about standing on your head, or whatever you are doing - that "mind in the moat" syndrome is common around here. Sour is an old geezer, so he manages to think about other things (like food) once in a while.

Yes, it should be voles......... Or shrews, or mice, but NEVER rats. We do not have rats. Now all little rodents, lots of them. I love, when after a light dusting of snow, I can open my door and look at all of the many many rodent tracks.

All of those tracks lead from the cold great outdoors right into my house. It is amazing how tiny they can squeeze themselves.

Well, just knowing you tried is comforting. I suppose that means I will never be able to eat you, no matter how hungry I get :D

Oh, and :bun lady, talking of poop :).

The poop tray DID fit both out of the house AND into the coop....but I had to remove the perch rest to put it in.

What was I thinking? Screwing in the perch rest before putting in the poop tray?

Alaskan still has:
one more poop tray to make for the coop,
several poop trays for the chicken shed,
a ditch and reflooring for the chicken shed,
some kind of better waterer for freezing temps in chicken shed,
a chicken tractor,
a very cute bantam chicken tractor/mobile coop,
two separate exterior nest boxes for the coop,
the skirting around the greenhouse,
the vegetable garden beds,
the chicken run (fencing and netting on top),
The vegetable garden fencing,
Terracing for the erosion around the greenhouse and chicken coop
Continued "all snow MUST DIE" dancing

Alaskan thinks that is it.

Did Alaskan mention that a can of "horse cribbing paint" fell over and oozed over everything in the junk room? (Location of dog food, tools, kid toys, spare alcohol, and oodles of small rodents)

Alaskan can NOT find a single cleaner that will get that stuff off!!! (Alaskan didn't find any turpentine or pure paint remover though)

Alaskan *thinks* that there is the sound of raining.... But things are still very snowy outside.

This must be some sort of evil trick. :(
