O schoolwork, thou hast wounded long enough!
Break free from chains of steel, forged clean and buff!
Because high school student fills their books
With viperous boredom; instead of beauty, looks.
Schoolwork, thy monopoly on all my years
In which I am a teen, and adulthood's near
Fills me with spite, and makes me want to kill
Whoever invented school, and if a fish, stop his gills.
