But Spook, ransom is"to free from captivity or punishment by paying a price". Obviously the kingdom can't and won't pre-pay for something that hasn't happened. In order to collect a Queen's Ransom, you must have the Queen! And I still contend that after you kidnap the Queen, you'll be willing to pay the kingdom to take her back!

Spook, I'm trying to tell you that the kingdom and the Royal Treasury will NOT pay you even a black jelly bean unless you actually abscond with the Queen. And I'm trying to warn you that kidnapping Royalty can be a royal pain! A clean coop, a bigger nest box, and keep in mind that Royals don't eat chickenfeed!
As far as your random thought, I think it would be Prince Mississippi unless the Queen says otherwise. I suspect that while he may be regal, he's not going to go for being royal!
