*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Ebob! I'm so glad to see you haven't gone swimming in the moat - some of us were beginning to wonder, you know.

But this thread has more lives than a cat. As many rabbit trails as it has been down, you can't really believe Sour's visit to the rabbit labyrinth could really do it in, can you? It's more like a case of being simultaneously tongue-tied by this nasty thing called real life.

I have had a lot going on...plus, now I'm sick. Either the flu or a bad case of strep throat..going to doc tomorrow. Anyway...you can't kill this thread! It is like a cat...it has too many lives!

(glad we have these emoticons....cause I sure as shooting don't feel like actually rolling on the floor laughing!! I feel like crawling under my quilts and hibernating for about a month.)

Just busy being me.

Hana starts Jr. High, 7th grade tomorrow and wanted a "back
to school party" for her and her best friends. About 17 kids and whatever parents felt like staying.

And...she wanted it in the woods. Fully-decked.

So I've been three days putting out props and decorations. Remowing the roads, final trim of the limbs. Some of the
things I'll start putting away again tomorrow.

Cookout.

Golf cart (3) running as hard as they could.
Games to be played.

A lot of work.

And those "road signs" I was talking about a while back
were a big hit. Day-light party, over just before dark.
Parents enjoyed them as much as the kids did.

Was it worth it?

Yes, it was.

Dad was there. One of his good days, and he did the grilling.
Enjoyed himself. When he got tired he went in to rest on
the couch. Even some aunts and uncles stopped by. Dad
dropped the hotdogs...his hands shake a lot anymore. But
Jake (the dog) likes his hotdogs dropped on the ground
anyway.

So even Jake enjoys a good cookout. Almost as much fun
for him as chasing golf carts.

As small as it may sound, Hana will always have the memory of Grandpa cooking out for "her party".

That alone, more than made my three days of work worthwhile.

Spook...

I bet you've got one happy little girl.

It's also been just the usual back-to-school busy-ness around here, with today being the first official day. Elizabeth is starting first grade this year, and is very proud. Me? Not so proud of starting yet another year of the same old, same old.

It'll be more fun when we start the extra stuff in September- hoping JROTC gets the rappelling trip. (I remember when we lived in Washington and people looked at you funny if you started school before Labor Day.

I demand we go back to the old days!)

Good goin', Spook!

Just got back from 2 days at the Little League world series. What a great piece of Americana. I recommend a trip there to anyone and everyone.

Yebob, were you responsible for my fall into the labyrinth?

Dad and I were watching that... Germany was being destroyed when we were watching.

Did you notice a little bald headed old guy

in the stands? That would be me. The looker to my right was the Princess.

Another memorable game was Uganda beating Nebraska. The team from Uganda was the 'sweetheart' team of the series. We also saw Mexico win two games. They sure had some active fans there.

What, me?! I would never do a thing like that. You insult me.
