Silence Is Not Golden Here

Oh no!!!! im catching up here and ran across this. Hoping for good news by the time I make it to last post!:fl
Just lost an Ixworth, Buff Orp bantam, and an OEG Bantam :hit.
@BlackHackle Another lesson learned. I never considered this a problem.
Me neither. Boy I'm I crossing my fingers :fl
I cannot wait to see if these birds start improving from that simple fix. I'm seriously rooting for you over here @BlackHackle ! & what a great job you two did if ID'ing a potential problem and coming up with a solution. I just love it! Oh I lost my first hen today. I've never suffered a loss before. She had a prolapsed vent that became infected - it was not obvious through her fluffy butt- and I'm just infuriated with myself for not knowing she had this problem. I have bathing them in the agenda but it's a little too late for her. I'm over here living and learning so much through you guys but seriously kicking myself right now. :hit
Sorry for your loss :(

Unfortunately, lack of knowledge about diseases isn't just in chickens. Just look at how many people get a new puppy and think nothing of hauling it all over town to meet everyone and be everywhere, without getting its shots first - and then are shocked when Parvo happens.
I was so careful with my pup when we got him because I would carry him in every public place. My hubby thought I was crazy.
