The storm blew over the coop with the littles. I could only find one chick. I think the others got blown away. Literally.
We have woods on one side, fields on two adjacent sides and a high speed road on the remaining side.
I have little hope of finding them. I don't even know where to start looking.

That must have been extremely high winds!!

@KikisGirls @BlackHackle @Tesumph @honanbm WAKE UP!!!! Most of the squad is believed to be dead.
The only survivor is either Pemba or Lindi but without the other to compare to I don't know which. I've decided the make will be dubbed Pemba and the female Lindi.
The chick is 1 month old. Gender guess? It's in a towel because the poor baby was soaked.

It was a rabbit hutch. I was stupid and didn't think about the high winds.
The top flips open. It caught the wind, acted like a sail and caused the coop to tip. With the top open the chicks probably left and got picked up by the wind.

Was the rabbit hutch made out of drywall or plywood?

Okay so today I lost a Black Cochin bantam
On the waiting list is two Light Sussex, two IxWorths, some OEG Bantams, a D'Anvers hen, and a Bresse

Thanks! You know, I'm a bit confused. i haven't lost one of my standard bred chickens besides my special ones in their pens. The whole 90 free ranging flock has not suffered a loss but the birds from my pens are taking huge losses. It's confusing

If it is metal in the water, the free-rangers could be getting their water from another source. I know with other animals, heavy metals in the water will impact their kidneys, and it can do permanent damage.
