Partridge Plymouth Rocks...the other birds I have decided would be too much to haul all the way down and weren't worth the trouble

Gotcha I hope your birds go far. Do they judge in cage at these shows or do you show in a ring?

They judge in cages at these shows.
The competition is soo high at these shows, any little slight issue, even just a slightly bad angle in the roundness of the wattles can drop you to reserve of variety. There were 5 really good buff orps in a row that all looked like carbon copies of each other, and only won of them won best in show...the others didn't even get reserve
