Hi everyone. Do you breed silkies? I was wondering if there were any free roosters/hens/chicks from silkie breeders near Raleigh, NC. If they are for sale would you be willing to reserve them till June?

Free and for sale are two different things.
Are you looking to purchase? Or do you want to find free breeding stock (very unlikely).

I meant that I was looking for people who breed silkies that might end up with roos they don't want (not a association-registered breeder or anything). I may be willing to purchase if the person can reserve their stock till June, because that's when I will have enough resources to afford extra feed and the birds.

I have a silkie rooster you are welcome to have. He's a good fellow, about 5 months old, but he just started crowing. I cannot have a rooster where I live. He's a great forager, loves to dig through compost piles to find bugs and other "goodies". I hope he can find a good home. He's not aggressive. He has black feathers with streaks of brown. Located in Raleigh, NC.
