Silkie breeding, genetics & showing

You guys have any suggestions on where to order the SOP for bantams?
I've finally decided to order one to help me with breeding in the spring!

I found this one, $35.00 seems awfully cheap. Is this a good book? lol

I have been wanting this book also and thought it was about $60. I only need the bantam one. Does it have all the silkie info. I need to make sure it has self-blue as some earlier copies don't have it.

Ok, so I was down at the barn tonight and I was looking over my juveniles. I have been keeping an eye on one little black cockerel that was knocking my socks off! I discovered that he has gold leakage in the hackles! He is another boy from a true black pen. He's such an attractive bird, typey, nice foot feathering, good wings, big crest (for a boy), and a fluffy tail. It seems like my blacks are dropping like flies. Now what? He's soooo nice.

Don't give up hope yet! I believe that he can be used to produce lovely pullets for you. His male offspring may have leakage, but I think the girls may be fine.

Photo ? You can certainly use him to breed nice black girls. I seldom showed boys. Silkies are a feminized breed. A good girl will beat the boys every time.

Well, I ordered it so I guess I'm going to find out what's in it pretty soon.

I would still do a test mating with him. His male offspring will probably have leakage but you may get some nice pullets from him.
