I finally found a black roo but he has a small amount of gold leakage on his hackles. However, this guy has very nice type and has an excessive amount of beetle green sheen to him. I got him because I really believe to always "build the barn first and then worry about painting the barn" I am planning on using him in my BBS. Do you thing his leakage is going to pass every time in his offsprings?

One of my young cockerel has abnormal dry skin. I started noticing it in his wattles, they look white from the dead skin (peeling). Is it something I should worry about? Is it contagious? What can I do / apply?

Have you checked him for mites? Does he have scaley leg too? You could try giving him a bath if he doesn't have any mites just use an oatmeal shampoo and let him soak in it for 5 minutes. No tea tree oils though.

His legs seem fine and I haven't found any bugs. I will give him a bath with oatmeal (can i use dog shampoo?) and hopefully it will get better. Thank you

Is this shampoo good to prepare for a show? I can imagine how nice it would make their skin and feathers!

Try it and see how he looks =) It's your own call. I have at least 10 different shampoo's.

Add some flaxseed to their diets too. Also, rub a little vaseline on his comb and waddles. Also, are you sure this is a boy? It has no comb?

I added some vaseline in his wattles, hopefully it will do the job. No I am not 100% sure he is a boy but for once I am hoping for it lol.
